About Melanie

 

Hi there, I’m Melanie! I’m a netball playing, cat loving, non ‘wellness’ nutritionist based in Canberra, Australia.

As far back as I can remember I’ve always loved food, and always thought about food. I’d never really thought about food as good or bad, just what’s enjoyable and what’s not.

I want to assure you there is no wellness jargon here. I want to make health as simple as possible.

I have tried different diets, restricting the way I eat and complicating food – I have done the hard work so you do not have to.

Nutritional Medicine

 

‘Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food.’ – Hipprocrates.

Hipprocrates was onto something with his initial thoughts on health. He understood there was a crucial link between food and health.

From this, nutritional medicine is based on the principle that nutrients, including essentials micronutrients, are required for the proper functioning of all the biochemical processes on which our bodies depend.
